OK. So you’ve got all your friends and family visiting for Thanksgiving. You’ve had your feast, played cards, and shared stories. Now what?
Show them what Kansas City is all about. Give them a full dose of what makes Kansas City such a well-kept secret. You know what this city does best…BBQ and blues!
B.B.’s Lawnside BBQ is one of the few places that provides an authentic Kansas City experience. At B.B.’s, you won’t just sit in a BBQ restaurant with no atmosphere, eat your meal and then leave. B.B.’s provides a fun roadhouse atmosphere where you’ll hang out for a few yours soaking it all in with a bucket of beers. And the best part is, Thanksgiving Weekend, we have two of Kansas City’s hottest blues acts performing.
Friday, Nov. 26: Samantha Fish Blues Band hits the stage at 9pm. Samantha Fish is a hot young blues guitarist and singer who has a very mature sound. She is destined for greatness. And then if it couldn’t get any better…
Saturday, Nov. 27: Trampled Under Foot. “When was the last time you saw a three-piece family blues band with two left-handed guitarists? Trampled Under Foot, winners of the 2008 International Blues Challenge, is like no other band you will ever see or hear. Danielle is an amazing blues singer and an excellent bassist. Kris fires right in the pocket on the drums and sings as well. Nick is a strong singer and an accomplished guitarist, winning the 2008 Albert King Award from the IBC.” Get here early because the seats will fill up fast before the first note hits at 9pm.
And, all you Kansas City area locals, don’t forget to bring your Price Chopper Rewards Card for lunch. B.B.’s Lawnside BBQ is partnering with Price Chopper to provide a very special deal: Buy one sandwich, get one half price! Check out the different BBQ sandwiches, bring the crew down to B.B.’s Saturday afternoon to hear the sweet sounds of Mama Ray’s Jazz-Meets-Blues Jam. No cover!
