Looking for a unique Kansas City experience this Labor Day Weekend? Check out the line-up at B.B.’s Lawnside BBQ!

Friday night, Scotty Boy Daniel Blues Band brings their unique Chicago and West Coast style – knockin’ out originals and covers!scotty boy daniel - flip the switch Scotty Boy plays blues harp in the tradition of William Clarke and Rod Piazza, so you won’t want to miss this KCMO group. The show starts at 9pm, $5 cover.

Then on Saturday, as if it couldn’t get any better…Mama Ray will provide the jazz-meets-blues jam that has entertained Kansas City for 24 years. She kicks it off at 2pm, and there is no cover.

lil slim blues bandLater in the evening, B.B.’s is proud to bring you the son of blues legend Magic Slim! That’s right, Lil’ Slim will provide that old-style Chicago blues (without all the special effects) that you love to hear.  Lil’ Slim plays guitar using a thumb pick or his thumb (similar to his dad’s style) so that he gets a rich tone not heard any other way. The show starts at 9pm, $5 cover.

And because we know many of you don’t have to work on Monday, why don’t you hang out with the Kansas Music Hall of Famer! Lee McBee & the Confessors play straight-up, traditional, hard-driving blues at B.B.’s Lawnside BBQ every Sunday. They hit the stage at 6pm, with a $4 cover.
